In the beautiful May weather of Qingdao, with its lush greenery and blue seas, the 3rd China (Shandong) Water Conservancy Science and Technology and Ecological Construction Expo kicked off in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, on May 18th. This three-day expo, themed "Drawing a New Blueprint for Water Conservancy, Embarking on a New Journey of Water Management," brought together nearly 300 domestic and international water-related enterprises and research institutions. They gathered to promote new technologies and achievements, showcasing new products and equipment.

Istrong Technology, invited for the third consecutive time, participated in this edition of the expo. Centered on the four major water issues of "water resources, water environment, water ecology, and water disasters," Istrong Technology showcased its "Twin + Four Predictions Smart Water Solution," "Digital Twin Watershed 'Four Predictions' Platform," and "Digital Twin Irrigation District Solution." The company presented a diverse product matrix that included both software and hardware, such as twin watersheds, twin projects, twin irrigation areas, data middle platforms, and integrated applications. These comprehensive exhibits demonstrated Istrong Technology's innovative achievements in the field of disaster reduction and benefit through intelligent applications. The display attracted the attention and recognition of many guests, who stopped to watch and engage in discussions.


"Twin + Four Predictions" - Technological Innovation Driving High-Quality Development in Water Conservancy

 

The national "14th Five-Year Plan" for new infrastructure construction clearly calls for the promotion of digital twins, intelligent simulation, and smart business applications for major rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. Advancing smart water conservancy construction is one of the six implementation paths for high-quality water conservancy development in the new stage. The "Istrong Digital Twin Watershed 'Four Predictions' Platform" leverages digital twin technology to construct watershed "Four Predictions" scenarios. It innovates a system comprising "Digital Supervision (Intelligent Monitoring)," "Digital Analysis (Smart Decision-making)," "Digital Governance (Intelligent Application)," and "Digital Services (Operational Support)." This approach empowers flood prevention, water resource management and allocation, and numerous intelligent water conservancy business applications.

The platform has been successfully applied in multiple case achievements, including the "Digital Erhai Lake Supervision Service Platform," "Digital Twin Jiulong River Beixi Construction Pilot Platform," "Digital Twin Feiyun River Watershed," "Fuzhou Smart Water Management," and "Jiangxin Lianwei Water System Dispatch Comprehensive Management Platform," covering various provinces and cities such as Yunnan, Fujian, Zhejiang, and Guangdong.

Istrong Technology's independently developed "Digital Twin Watershed Platform Solution" represents a technological breakthrough by integrating digital twin technology with professional water conservancy models. This solution has been consecutively selected for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "2022 Digital Technology Fusion and Innovative Application Solutions" and included in the "2022 Fujian Province Information Technology Application Innovation Solutions Typical Case Collection." The platform effectively supports water conservancy flood prevention and disaster reduction operations through forecasting, early warning, simulation, and planning.

Istrong Technology has deeply involved itself in Shandong's water conservancy construction, providing technical support and product assurance for refined management, intelligent applications, and cost reduction and efficiency improvement in water conservancy in Shandong Province. The "Shandong Province Drought and Flood Disaster Defense Informatization Platform" developed by Istrong Technology covers five aspects: "dynamic perception of water conservancy information, intensive and efficient infrastructure, integrated sharing of data resources, effective coordination of business applications, and controllable information security." This platform undertakes informatization construction for drought and flood disaster defense and strengthens data integration across multiple departments. Since its launch, the platform has been tested in real-world scenarios like typhoons and heavy rains. During the 2022 flood season, through joint consultations and analyses, timely warnings were issued, and responses were initiated. Preparations for typhoons and heavy rainfall were made in advance, effectively dealing with adverse weather conditions such as Typhoon "Sanda" and "Meihua," and the associated heavy rains. This response effectively mitigated personnel casualties and property damage.

The construction of digital twin irrigation districts is a crucial aspect of smart water conservancy development and an effective way to enhance the management level of irrigation districts. The Ministry of Water Resources has initiated the construction of digital twin irrigation districts as pilot projects, setting new requirements for business collaboration, innovative work models, and improved service efficiency in irrigation district management. The "Digital Twin Irrigation District Solution" brought forward by Istrong Technology involves building business application platforms for water resource dispatch, disaster prevention and reduction in irrigation districts, standardization, and intelligent analysis applications. This solution achieves real-time monitoring of irrigation districts, problem identification, and optimization of dispatching. It has been successfully applied to the "Smart Wuyin Irrigation District Management Platform," "July 1st Irrigation District Comprehensive Management System," and other irrigation district construction achievements.

Since the commencement of the Shandong Province Yellow River Irrigation District Agricultural Water Saving Project in September 2020, Istrong Technology has successively won bids to construct the informationization projects of the Yellow River Irrigation District in several regions along the river in Shandong, including Guan County, High-Tech Zone, Linqing City, and Shen County in Liaocheng City. The projects are currently under orderly construction. These products, with their rich interfaces, low power design, anti-interference features, and easy installation, aim to help users in the water conservancy industry. They facilitate the automatic and rapid delivery of various monitoring and early warning information, as well as routine business data, to grassroots units like towns, villages, and reservoirs. These devices provide services such as monitoring of drought and flood disasters and risk reminders, supporting the construction of a grassroots disaster prevention, reduction, and early warning system, and enhancing the disaster prevention, reduction, and relief capabilities at the grassroots level. These products attracted many attendees who were keen to learn more about their functionalities.
