Recently, the 12th Hubei Science and Technology Forum's Water Conservancy Sub-Forum for the year 2023, themed “Strengthening Hubei's Digital Twin Watersheds to Enhance Comprehensive Watershed Management Capabilities,” was successfully held in Wuhan. The forum gathered numerous government leaders, renowned experts, and scholars, focusing on China's informatization theories and technological developments. It facilitated discussions about the challenges and opportunities faced by Hubei's water conservancy and shared achievements in smart water conservancy construction.

The forum featured a high-quality main venue and three sub-forums, focusing on “Information Infrastructure Construction,” “Digital Twin Platform (Including Digital Watersheds) Construction,” and “Intelligent Application Construction.” These forums collectively explored new paths for smart water conservancy development, charting the future of smart water conservancy with new applications, services, and scenarios. Istrong Technology was invited to present at the Digital Twin Platform (Including Digital Watersheds) Construction sub-forum and showcased typical cases of smart water conservancy twin watersheds.

At the forum, Zhuang Jiabao, a senior engineer at Istrong Technology, made an on-site report with the “Digital Twin Watershed Solution” as the main focus and “Twin Cases” as supplementary. Starting from the current background and goals of water conservancy construction, he illustrated the level and comprehensive capabilities of smart water conservancy informatization through exemplary achievements such as the digital twin construction of the Jiulong River Beixi and the Feiyun River watershed. This initiative aids in modernizing the water conservancy sector.

The Digital Twin Watershed Solution innovates a system comprising “Digital Supervision (Intelligent Monitoring) - Digital Analysis (Smart Decision-making) - Digital Governance (Intelligent Application) - Digital Service (Operational Guarantee),” promoting high-quality development in the new stage of water conservancy.

To date, Istrong Technology has implemented four pilot project cases for the Ministry of Water Resources, including the Digital Twin Platform for the Xiyuanxi Small Watershed (Xiyuan Reservoir), the Digital Twin Copper Mountain District Flood Prevention Dispatch System, the Digital Twin Feiyun River Watershed, and the Digital Twin Jiulong River Beixi Construction Pilot Platform. Moreover, Istrong Technology has nearly 20 twin cases at the provincial, city, and county (district) levels, including twin watersheds, twin water networks, twin projects, and twin cities, among other application platforms. 

This forum provided an excellent platform for exchanging industry development trends and expanding corporate collaboration opportunities.
