Using geographic information data, the Flood and Meteorological Risk Warning System determines meteorological indicators related to heavy rainfall and floods in the sub-basins and sensitive areas down to the major tributaries, calculates basin-wide rainfall, and achieves warning thresholds and overruns that trigger heavy rainfall and flood risk warnings in that sub-basin. Utilizing developed hydrological and hydrodynamic systems such as the flood monitoring model, and combining precipitation forecast products such as basin-wide rainfall, it automatically simulates the evolution of floods in major tributaries and sensitive areas in real time, achieving meteorological risk warning and product creation capabilities for disaster-causing heavy rainfall that triggers floods.
